Bayern Munich return to the Allianz Arena on Saturday looking for a response after two straight away draws, and the visitors are RB Leipzig, the only Bundesliga side to have scored almost as many goals as Vincent Kompany's team this season. Kick-off on Matchday 6 is 17:30 UK.
Bayern are third on 11 points, two behind leaders Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund, with Leipzig fifth on nine. The two clubs are the league's top scorers so far: Bayern have 16 goals, Leipzig 15.
Form: Bayern want a reaction
Bayern drew 2-2 at Augsburg on Matchday 5, conceding after 8.37 seconds, the fastest goal in Bundesliga history, and then threw away a 3-2 lead in a 3-3 Champions League draw at Viking on Tuesday (match report). Kompany blamed "total lapses in concentration" and said he expects "a reaction" against Leipzig.
Home form gives them reason for confidence. Bayern are unbeaten in 14 games at the Allianz Arena (12 wins, 2 draws), beat Union Berlin 7-0 in their last league home game and have won their last three competitive meetings with Leipzig, including a 6-0 win in Munich last season.
Leipzig strong at home, struggling away
Martín Demichelis' side have won all three home league games, scoring 14 of their 15 goals at the Red Bull Arena. Away from home it is a different story: they lost both away league games this season and have lost their last four Bundesliga matches on the road.
Christopher Nkunku and Antonio Nusa have driven the recent run, and Nkunku has already scored three times at the Allianz Arena. Demichelis, who made 259 appearances for Bayern between 2003 and 2010, said his side need to show "the same courage and conviction away from home" as in their recent home games.
Team news
Manuel Neuer missed the Viking match with a foot problem, and Jonas Urbig started in goal. If Neuer plays, he becomes Bayern's oldest Bundesliga player at 40 years and 204 days. Jamal Musiala is a doubt with a thigh problem. Michael Olise's red card at Viking brings a Champions League ban for next week's game against Arsenal, so it does not stop him playing in the Bundesliga.
Harry Kane is in line for his 100th Bundesliga appearance. He goes into it with 101 league goals and seven in five Bundesliga games against Leipzig.
Leipzig are without Christoph Baumgartner (thigh), Viggo Gebel (knee), Marc Guiu (hamstring) and Assan Ouédraogo (shoulder).
What comes next
The fixture list does not get easier for Bayern. They host Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday, travel to leaders Freiburg on 25 October and host Dortmund in Der Klassiker on 31 October. Saturday's other big game sees Dortmund travel to Union Berlin. For our last Bundesliga match report, see Dortmund 2-2 Werder Bremen.
