Declan Rice struck eight minutes from time to earn Arsenal a 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, cancelling out Harry Kane's second-half penalty. Eberechi Eze, an early replacement for the injured Bukayo Saka, had given Mikel Arteta's side the lead before Alphonso Davies equalised from a Kane through ball. The point ended Arsenal's run of 14 straight wins in the Champions League's opening phase.

How the match unfolded
Saka went down with a non-contact injury after playing a pass and was replaced by Eze in the 10th minute, with Noni Madueke moving to the right wing. Kai Havertz was booked three minutes later.
Riccardo Calafiori blazed over from a corner and David Raya saved Serge Gnabry's low shot on the counter before Arsenal went ahead in the 25th minute. Martin Ødegaard hit a long pass over the top from inside his own half, and Eze ran in behind and finished with his left foot into the bottom corner. The assistant raised his flag for offside, but a VAR check showed Josip Stanišić had played Eze onside and the goal stood.
Bayern were level ten minutes later. Kane dropped deep and split the Arsenal defence with a through ball, and Davies ran clear before sliding a right-footed finish past Raya. Ezri Konsa was booked in the 39th minute for a late challenge on Kane.
Jonathan Tah replaced Kim Min-jae at half-time. Manuel Neuer clawed a header from Rice's corner off the line, and Raya made a point-blank save from Dayot Upamecano's header moments later.
Bayern went ahead in the 61st minute. Kane's goalbound shot struck the raised arm of the sliding Jurriën Timber, and the striker stuttered in his run-up before firing into the top left corner as Raya went the wrong way. It was his 58th Champions League goal and made him only the second player, after Cristiano Ronaldo, to score in ten consecutive Champions League games.
In the 68th minute Viktor Gyökeres and Myles Lewis-Skelly came on for Havertz and Bruno Guimarães, while Luis Díaz and Lennart Karl replaced Ismael Saibari and Gnabry. Raya then pushed away a Díaz strike.
Arsenal levelled in the 82nd minute. Madueke played the ball inside to Gyökeres, who held off Tah and laid it into Rice's path, and the midfielder drove a low right-footed shot into the far corner for his first away goal in the Champions League. Díaz went off injured late on, replaced by 18-year-old Bara Sapoko Ndiaye on his Champions League debut, and Neuer pushed a swerving Timber shot over the bar in stoppage time.
What it means
Arsenal move to seven points from three games and sit seventh, after a 1-0 win at Napoli and a 3-0 home win over Lille. Bayern are 14th with five points, following a 5-0 win over Bodø/Glimt and last week's 3-3 draw at Viking.
Kane, whose penalty was his 16th career goal against Arsenal, told UEFA: "Probably the draw was a fair result overall."
What's next
Arsenal, who won at the weekend through Madueke's deflected winner at Nottingham Forest, host Everton on Saturday and await news on Saka. Bayern visit Freiburg on Sunday.
