Oliver Glasner returns to Selhurst Park on Sunday as Nottingham Forest head coach, facing the Crystal Palace side he left in the summer after leading them to three trophies in just over two years.
Kick-off is 14:00 UK. Palace sit 15th on four points from five Premier League games under new head coach Pierre Sage; Forest are 13th on five under Glasner. Both have only one league win so far this season.
Glasner's Palace legacy
Glasner took charge of Palace in 2024 and delivered the club's first major honour, the 2025 FA Cup, then the UEFA Conference League in May 2026 and the Community Shield that August. He told Palace in January that he would leave at the end of his contract for a new challenge, despite being offered an extension.
Forest appointed him on 6 July 2026 as their fifth head coach in less than a year, replacing Vítor Pereira. Owner Evangelos Marinakis called him "a winner" and said they shared the same ambition. Glasner said Forest's vision and the potential he saw in the squad were decisive: "Our aim is to build a team that can help take the club to the next level in the years ahead."
Before Palace, he won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2021-22. He is one of only three coaches to have won both the Europa League and the Conference League.
Form, history and team news
Palace have scored six and conceded 11 in the league; Forest have scored four and conceded five. According to Opta-based Premier League meeting records cited by The Stats Zone, Palace have never beaten Forest in 12 Premier League meetings (eight draws, four defeats), and the last three finished 1-1.
Palace replaced Glasner with Pierre Sage, who arrived from Lens. Sage's league start includes defeats to Everton, Manchester City and Ipswich, plus a goalless draw at Leeds. Forest opened with a loss to Leeds, drew with Liverpool and Tottenham, beat Aston Villa, then lost 1-0 at home to Coventry before the international break.
Sports Mole and The Stats Zone report Palace without Chadi Riad (knee) and Axel Disasi (suspended), with Jean-Philippe Mateta, Dean Henderson and Takehiro Tomiyasu edging back from injury but not expected until next week. Forest are listed without Igor Jesus (calf), Nikola Milenković and Nicolò Savona, with Neco Williams a doubt through illness. Neither club's official site had confirmed Sunday's squads at the time of writing.
What happens next
Palace need points to climb away from the bottom six; Forest want a first league win of the Glasner era on the ground where he built his English reputation. Hull City host Everton at the same 14:00 UK slot, with Liverpool against Manchester City at 16:30 UK later on Sunday.
